Stirling based Castle Leisure Group has come out on top at the Scottish Licensed Trade News (SLTN) awards in Glasgow.
The company’s latest venture City in Falkirk triumphed over strong competition to win the prestigious Nightclub of the Year 2009. SLTN judges singled out the entertainment hybrid which includes Sportsters Sports Bar for strong commitment to staff training and its excellent use of entertainment and security technology.
Paul Smith, Managing Director who established the Castle Leisure Group in 1981 with his brother Stephen, was delighted with the company’s success at the awards ceremony. He said: “We are delighted with the award and its testament to all the hard work our team put into City Falkirk. We wanted to create an exceptional venue where our customers could enjoy themselves in safe, comfortable and vibrant surroundings and this recognition from the Industry signifies that we achieved just that”
The Castle Leisure Group’s head office is located in Stirling and the Group currently employ around 500 members of staff.
The Group’s portfolio of venues include The Fubar and Sportsters in Stirling, City nightclub and Sportsters in Edinburgh and Perth, Velocity in Dunfermline and Cheers in Dumbarton.
