CLG was officially recognised and accredited as an "Investor In People" (IIP) in June 2000. IIP represents the national standard for effective investment in Human Resources.

The Company has been successful in maintaining the principles of the Investors in People National Standard and therefore successfully gained re-accreditation as an ‘Investor in People' for the third time running (Feb 2005)

Additionally, after a rigorous first time assessment process, the Company has also gained accreditation for the IIP Recruitment and Selection Model, another ‘add on’ branch of IIP. This makes Castle Leisure Group the first company in Scotland to achieve this accolade; an achievement that we are all can be truly proud of.

The recent IIP Assessment in September 2007 saw Castle Leisure Group undergo the new Profile Assessment. This provides further stretch for organisations by going beyond the current scope of IIP Standard into broader areas of people management and development.
"The assessors were impressed by the energy, motivation, strong sense of ownership and fun throughout the company and would also highlight a particular strength to CLG is their exceptional approach, commitment to and investment in appropriate learning and development activities, linked to achieving their business goals" (Janet O'Brien, IIP Assessor, 2007)

CLG has seen a period of various changes and developments. To gain such a glowing review from the recent assessor proves that this period has indeed been beneficial, as it has positively contributed to our continued growth and achievement.

This continued success is also testament to our team of committed management and involved employees and the effort that together they invest in the pursuit of improvement.


A special thanks has to go to all those who were interviewed by our assessor and also to the rest of the management and staff who ensure that the Investor in People policy and its practices are carried out and continue to remain firmly embedded at the true heart of our culture, ensuring our continued improvement and ultimate success.
